Notices and your journal

Adjust medieval HUD notices, open your session journal, and understand what each notice means.

Realm Notifications · v0.1.1

Open your preferences

Press N to open the private journal and preferences. Adjust position, duration, sound, visibility, and the notice types you want to see.

The gameplay menus still belong to their physical blocks: a notice does not open a remote market, contract board, or government menu.

What appears in the HUD?

Compatible companion mods can report confirmed events such as wallet transfers, advancement rewards, contract delivery, market sales, salaries, and election phases.

The notification system presents the event after the action. It does not create money, change taxes, decide a payment, or grant a permission.

Stored value and paid money

A contract reward waiting at a noticeboard and sale proceeds waiting at a stall are amounts to collect. They are different from money already deposited in your personal wallet.

Read the notice’s wording and return to the relevant block when collection is required. Private ballot confirmations do not reveal other players’ votes.

Journal and arrival grouping

The journal is private and belongs to the current session. It provides context for recent notices, rather than a permanent server-wide record.

Bursts of events on joining can be grouped to reduce clutter. Your preferences control the presentation without changing the underlying transactions.

Optional companions

Install the mod on the server and the clients that want HUD notices, with versions of the companion mods that support its integration. Players without the optional channel continue to receive supported chat alternatives.

Read the source guide for the integration version table and configuration details.
